Plot summary
Dorothy "Dolly" Douglas Hardesty is a rich, half-ruined old widow – and the daughter of a former U.S. President. When Dolly was a child, a cleaning staff member of the White House gave a beautiful replica of the White House, but Dolly, then twelve, was considered too old for such toys. Only later in life – after death of their parents, the loss of her husband, and a string of bitter disappointments – Dolly made her White House instead of dolls. It quickly became obsessed with recreation real White House in miniature, until the sloppy White Doll's House became one of the most expensive doll houses, complete, and famous in the world.
Enter Roger Tinker, unemployed thirty-something government scientist who, in his time working for Uncle Sam, invented the minimizer: a laptop, a camera sized device that can reduce objects. Intellectually gifted but socially inept, Tinker thinks he can use the minimizer to win the hearts – and pocket – Dolly thumbnail enthusiastic. Instead, it manipulates Tinker, psychological and sexual, in a shocking crime wave.
Dolly is an angry, vicious women used for intimidation of people in her car with his.
